Hashi Teppan Grill: A Unique Japanese Dining Experience in Abilene

Hashi is incredible! We moved away from Abilene a couple years ago but still crave this food from Hashi! We ate this so much when lived in Abilene. I just checked online to make sure it was still around. My wife and I have talked about driving down there to just eat from this restaurant! It was always quick to get, easy and so delicious. If you live in Abilene this is the place to go to!

Stopped in just after 6:30 on a Saturday evening. A group of three and a single individual were ahead of me and they placed large orders. I ordered the shrimp with noodles. Was asked what other side I wanted and I went with a double order of noodles. Was not disappointed in that decision. Food came out almost in the order it was placed: the individual that was ahead of me got his two dishes right before the group of three got there larger order. Right after that I got mine. Good prioritizing of filling orders! The lady at the counter asked if I wanted any sauce when I picked up my order. I asked for teriyaki sauce. Was expecting one container of it and she put two in the bag. Perfect amount for the noodles. The shrimp was hot and spicy, the noodles were a little on the cool side, but I expected that because I noticed the tray of noodles was running low. Tossed the noodles in the microwave for a minute when I got home and they tasted good. Warmed up the teriyaki sauce for 15 seconds and poured it on the noodles and that enhanced their flavor. Very delicious, made my feel satisfied but not stuffed. Will definitely be back to try the miso soup and gyoza. Rated the atmosphere as a 4 based on where they have the menu board located. It is at the front of the store right when you turn to go to the counter. Made me feel like you create a roadblock if you stop and look at it before walking up to order. IMO it would be better to place another one above the counter so customers can look at it as they walk up to order.

They really snazzed up the inside. Nice wood floors. Hip modern lighting and seating. Cute succulents. The menu is simple and to the point. It doesn't complicate the ordering process with too many silly options. They have veggies, rice, noodles, meats, and a few appetizers to gander upon

great food and fast service. this place isn't very fancy but it doesn't need to be. I had gyoza and miso soup along with the hibachi chicken.

Salmon entree was good and the portions are big. Very nice staff. Will be back.

Really great experience and the food is great. They do have a wait time so be mindful as the food is prepared fresh as you order. Great food.

Come here and get the kids meal if you want a pinch of meat. also they played the Weeknd in here for like 30 hours
